It's Giveaway Day on sewmamasew's blog!
To celebrate, I am giving away a pair of earrings to whoever has the most creative answer to the question "What is your true nature?".
I'll post a picture of the earrings when I get home from work tonight. They are silver toned with turquoise and red coral chips. Why is red and turquoise such a hot combination right now? I don't know, but I love it, and you will, too, if you win the earrings.
If you would like to participate, please leave a comment to this post answering the question. Once the winner is chosen, I'll post again.
Thanks!

I forgot to ask people to leave a means of contact! If you have a blog you'd like me to comment in if you win, that's fine, or an email address.
This is the toughest question I've seen so far this morning!! Nice job... does anyone know their true nature? I think that my true nature is optimistic... some might say naive, but I don't think that's accurate... more hopeful.
ReplyDeleteMy true nature is quiet and introspective which is unfortunately overrode with more splashes of attitude and engage mouth-before-brain-thinks syndrome. Love the stuff. Thanks for the chance!!!
ReplyDeleteMy true nature is to ponder, to fuss, to mother, to perfect and to create. I fall apart when I can't be like this!
ReplyDeleteLove the earrings!
My true nature is to make everything perfect - my home, my crafts, my cooking! Even if there are not enough hours in a day. It's quite annoying sometimes!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful earrings, I love your work!

love your earrings... love your name.
ReplyDeleteI guess my true nature is innature (my ravelry name, as well.)
so, with my happy nature, my contented nature, my love of nature and my soulful nature, thank you for this lovely giveaway gift!
My true nature is quite, peaceful, easy going. I prefer the company of my family and dogs over most others. Not a huge talker, more of a listener...
ReplyDeleteThat's a hard question.
Great giveaway though! Thanks for the chance to win. You can register for my giveaway at http://ratherbecrafting.blogspot.com
I shouldn't confess, but my true nature is sloth, I love nothing more than laying under a blankie with a good book. The only way I get through my day is remembering that it's one day closer to retirement... when I can spend the rest of my days in utter laziness :)
ReplyDeleteMy true nature, well, is nature! All the gains I have made in my life these past years have been earth-based: gardening, hiking, learning about stones and crystals, and camping for the first time last summer!
ReplyDeleteMy true nature is incurably optimistic and overly sentimental.
ReplyDeletemy true nature has always been simple. or maybe complicated with hopes of simplifying. i am sensitive and constantly worrying about the feelings of others. 3 weeks ago i gave birth to my first little one - a sweet boy named mateo. i think my true nature is also motherly. something i never knew. i have so much love for him.
ReplyDeleteMy true nature is childish. No matter how old I get, no matter how many degrees I obtain, an no matter what job I climb to, I am still a goofy child at heart. I think this is a good thing!
ReplyDeletemc.crafty.bunny@gmail.com
My true nature is creativity in everything I do. Even if it is punishing my children or explaining my way out of how I hit another car while parallel parking.

My true nature is soft-hearted and kind. Which is surprising as I spend my days being a hard-a** at work.
ReplyDeleteRed is empowering and turquoise is calming...plus, orange and blue are complimentary colors, so red and turquoise look good together!

Cute earrings! I think deep down I'm quite shy even though I may appear to be talkative and outgoing.
ReplyDeletewow that is a metaphysical question! my true nature is love. :)
ReplyDeleteMy true nature - quite, calm, simple, happy :)
ReplyDeleteThese are cute! My true nature is helpful and kind. Simple as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing the giveaway.

Wow - that's a hard one! but I love the earrings, so I'll try!
ReplyDelete...my true nature, without me trying to stay calm amd peaceful, is boisterous, busy, and bossy. In some ways, these can be good - I get a lot done, and I love having fun. But they can hurt people too - I long to be peaceful and quiet and kind in all I do...
My true nature is to be nurturing... I love being a mother and love how my son seems to feel safe and protected.

My true nature is to be a lifelong learner and to pass that trait on to those around me. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy true nature is like Spocks mother: married to a very logical man yet feels a great human need for creative outlet (did you see the handknit sweater Spock wore in the new Star trek movie?)

My true nature, one that I work so hard to not to have show, is grumpy as hell and pessimistic. It's just what comes naturally, but not who most people would think I am.
ReplyDeleteMy true nature is to be completely inflexible. This of course I hide behind wide fake smiles and the phrase "of course,no problem. I'm easy!"
ReplyDeleteYeah right I am!!
True nature, mine is order. I just love it when everything falls into place and goes as planned.
ReplyDeleteGreat earrings.
Mmm gorgeous. Mine's self-sufficiency and frustration with the inept -- I saw a t-shirt on TV the other day (I'm going to make one for my father, from whom I get my quirks): "It's not that I don't work well with others, it's that I don't work well with others that don't work well." I'm well-suited for prairie life, probably -- my parents actually submitted our family for PBS's pioneer reality show, as we've got woodworkers/builders, cooks, farmers, seamstresses, etc., all in the family. (Didn't get in, but still, neat idea.)
ReplyDeleteSeriously? That's a tough question! Hmm..I suppose my true nature is one who craves stability, needs to nurture, friendly, outspoken, (oh man, that's too much stuff already)! LOL!! Thanks for the introspective moment!
ReplyDeleteHugs & Blessings!
Oh...tough question - I guess my true nature is to be a caring person...friendly, and never meet a stranger...
ReplyDeletelove the earrings...

Heh, my true nature is to worry about every friggin thing I could possibly think of! I'm a worrywart, but it's what I am :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fun entry to your giveaway!
My true nature ?
ReplyDeletewell, shy, anxious and not self-assured...
And I try to be a bit "extravagant" to hide that (and it looks like it works !)
My true nature of the moment has got to be the raw beautiful attributes of my three kids.
ReplyDeleteMy true nature is lazy. Everything I do--from getting up before my family to exercise, to writing a dissertation--is against my natural impulse to laze around and read novels all day long.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great giveaway! Thanks! My true nature is HAPPY!
ReplyDeletemy true nature is as a nurturer to my children and hubby, although reading Heathers comment about being lazy fits me too... If I can get away without doing something I will.
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in the draw, and don't forget to enter mine. :)
My true nature is whimsy. I'd be happy if I could just celebrate life, float about, create...Unfortunately the world is so fast tracked so I must be as well. The sad thing is that it is so against my nature.
ReplyDeleteMy true nature is extremely independent. I don't like to ask anyone for help and I expect them to do the same. I'm generally anti-social and if I could only see/talk to my husband for the rest of my life, that would be okay with me. That's why I love the Internet and blogs so much - no actual talking to anyone is required. I think email is the greatest thing ever (but I don't text -go figure).
ReplyDeleteI love your cute earrings. I think my true nature is to create. Whether I'm working in my garden, sewing, taking care of my kids or working on my house, I am creating something that didn't exist before. and I think that's pretty cool. thanks
ReplyDeleteMy true nature has changed over the years as I change with different stages in my life. I began with an overconfident, prideful youth. Once I was married and had 6 kids, I became more humble, giving and steadfast. Now, as the youngest is about to embark on her own journey this fall and hubby and I are alone again after 30 years, my true nature is going to blossom with his constant tending...or it should shouldn't it? I was a quiet, reserve welling from deep within. I want to be a lover of beauty and take in all the little pleasant things. And if I win, the earrings go to said graduating daughter.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win the beautiful earrings!! My nature used to be relaxed, calm and collected. Since having two kids and moving to a new town, my new nature seems to be rushed and hectic. I am hoping to find the calm in ther future again!!
ReplyDeleteI heard somewhere that your true self is who you are when you're all alone. So I guess my true nature likes M&Ms, Diet Coke and Facebook!
ReplyDeleteconstantly changing--one day i am anal and organized and the next i am sleeping and lazy and the day after that energized and on and on and on......
ReplyDeleteCreate-er, napper, baker, eater, life-imbiber, laugh-er.... I guess this describes my true nature.
ReplyDeleteCreative question! I checked out your Etsy shop and I really like your Chunky necklace. You've got great items! I've hearted you.
Thanks for the chance to enter!
Sheesh, what a question!
ReplyDeleteUm, slightly insecure, antisocial, night owl, bookworm, family servant, believer, optimist, and homebody.
I'm very much introverted of nature. I hide behind an outgoing exterior and it is truly exhausting sometimes.

ReplyDeleteMy true nature is that I'm insecure and while I hate cleaning (and haven't done so in awhile), I love the feeling of having a clean, organized house (and craft room, but that's never going to happen!)
ReplyDeleteMy true nature is that I'm relaxed and simple. I love to keep an uncluttered schedule, and live a peaceful life without too much chaos. That's my little personal theme, I think. Here is is...
ReplyDeleteI'm Amanda from San Jose, CA. I like to keep it simple.
My true nature is positive. I can't abide negative thinking in others. I find it depressing. I am a very positive and upbeat kind of person and like others who are also. Interesting question...and lovely earrings which my daughter would LOVE!
